Hamley & Co is the oldest saddle shop in the U.S.
It has delivered quality craftsmanship and a commitment to working cowboys and buckaroos since 1883. Originally, Hamley’s was known as a harness and saddle maker, but the business soon developed around its saddles and became known throughout the west as the maker of “the finest saddles man could ride.” Hamley & Co. was also famous for its excellent innovations in saddle design including helping develop the “Committee” or “Association” style saddle” that became standard equipment for professional saddle-bronc riders throughout the United States and Canada.
The large batwing type legs are done in white with black spots. Belt tooled with floral rosettes and silver studs. Marked on the belt “Hamley & Co. / Pendleton, ORE.” Nice angora with slight wear to the canvas backing. 36″ tall overall.
